At Tajik Lawyers, we recognise the emotional stress, costs, and time it takes to go to court. We encourage all parties in family law matters to settle outside of court and avoid protracted litigation. Mediation can be a useful tool for resolving disputes between parties in family law cases without the need for expensive and time-consuming litigation.
Through mediation, an independent third-party mediator can help you reach an agreement and resolve disputes. The mediation process is typically conducted in a neutral and confidential setting, and the mediator acts as a facilitator to help the parties reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Mediation is cost-effective, time-saving, confidential, flexible, and helps preserve amicable relationships, especially in cases where ongoing contact is necessary, such as parenting arrangements.
Once the agreement has been reached, the parties formalise property and/or parenting agreements by filing an application for Consent Orders with the Court. We represent our clients at mediation and have assisted with the settlement of numerous matters through mediation. We also assist with drafting Consent Orders and filing an application for Consent Orders with the Court.
