History

As the Principal Solicitor of Tajik Lawyers, Nasima Tajik completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Sydney in 2006. Continuing her university education, Nasima completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Sydney in 2009 and her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice through the College of Law in 2010. After working solely in private practice post-admission for six years in a range of different legal areas, Nasima went on leave and completed her Master of Applied Law (Family Law) in 2017. Shortly after completing her Masters, Nasima set up her practice Tajik Lawyers Pty Ltd in 2017. Since the establishment of Tajik Lawyers, the firm has dealt with a range of complex family law matters including parenting arrangements, property settlements and divorce matters. We have successfully navigated matters in Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. We have represented clients in court, negotiated on their behalf, represented them at mediation and conciliation and assisted with the settlement of numerous family law matters.

We are often entrusted to draft all court documents including Initiating Applications, Application for Consent Orders, consent orders (Property and Parenting), parenting plans and a number of other family law legal documentation. The team works closely with Legal Counsel, Independent Children’s Lawyers, Mediators and Financial Advisors. Our commitment to our values of professionalism, collaboration, honesty and our compassion for clients going through a stressful and emotional time, has assisted us in providing the best possible outcomes for our clients. The team at Tajik Lawyers stays up to date on new legal developments and innovation, societal issues and mental health resources. The Principal Solicitor continues to take part in legal workshops, seminars and conferences and enhance her knowledge and skills in the area of family law.
